There are lots of different types of marine animals. They are of different shapes and colors and have different life behavior. Let’s have a look on difference between crawfish, scampi, krill, shrimp and prawn that are some famous but strange marine animals.
Crawfish
It is also known as crayfish, red claw, crawdads and mudbugs. It is a freshwater crustacean. It is related to lobster. They have shell and as they grow, they molt the older and grow new one.
Scampi
It is a lobster found in north east Atlantic. It is orange pink in color. It grows up to 25 cm in length.
Krill
It is a common name of order euphausiacea animals. Krill is a small invertebrate which is found in every ocean of the world.
Shrimp
Shrimps are marine decapods crustaceans. They are from suborder Nantaia. They have an elongated body and antenna.
Prawn
They are crustaceans from the suborder dendrobranchiata. They are different from shrimps. Their meat is sweet and delicate in taste as compared to shrimps.
Crayfish
Crayfish is also called crawfish or mudbugs. These look like lobsters and found in shallow deep fresh water. Like crabs, these are composed of 2 main body parts and 20 sub body parts.
