What is the Difference between Ba and Bs

No doubt, both Ba and Bs are educational degree programs at bachelor level. However, there is very vast difference between these two terms. It does not matter, which institution is governing these programs. The scheme of study, credit hours and number of semesters are same everywhere for both degree programs. Ba

Ba or Bachelor of Arts is such educational degree program, in which scheme of study is related with social sciences. There are different study programs, offered in Bachelor of Arts like humanities, language, history, literature etc. Basically; the aim behind Ba is preparing students for qualifying a higher degree in diverse fields rather than any specific technical field. A student, who gets the degree of Ba can continue his/her studies at master level.

Bs

Bs or Bachelor of Science is such degree program, which is related to some professional scientific degree program or an essential requirement for getting specialization in pure scientific field. When we talk about Bs program, there is also a long list in front of us like engineering, medical, computer science etc.

Ba vs Bs

Despite bachelor degree programs, both Ba and Bs are entirely different from each other. The first and major difference between these two degrees is obviously, their different field of studies. Ba comprises of such courses, which are related to social sciences. On the contrary, Bs subjects are purely scientific. Moreover, the aim of Ba is study oriented, while Bs is carrier oriented degree program. Generally, the duration of study programs for both degrees is same. However, some branches related to Bachelor of Science have long duration depends upon university policies. Same is the case with fee structure of both programs. Usually, fee charges for Bs program are more than Ba due to addition of practical work along with theory.
