What is the Difference between Bangladesh India and Pakistan https://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/world/what-is-the-difference-between-bangladesh-india-and-pakistan.html Tue, 16 Apr 2013 01:46:52 +0000 http://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/?p=1690 Bangladesh India and Pakistan are the most prominent countries of South Asian region. Just a half century back, all these three countries were one unit and remained under the influence of one ruler for more than 1000 years. At that time, the name of this one unit was “Hindustan” which is now the second name of “India”.  In 1947, this unit was divided into two parts named as India and Pakistan. However, in 1947, the Pakistan was again divided into two parts named as East Pakistan (Bangladesh) and West Pakistan (Pakistan). Now, all these three countries are surviving and thriving separately. Let’s see the difference between Bangladesh India and Pakistan.

Bangladesh

Bangladesh is a South Asian country which is bordered by India, Burma, Nepal, Bhutan and China. It is not only third most populous Muslim country, but also ranked 8th among most populous countries of entire world. Bangladesh is divided into 7 provinces and 64 districts.  Bengali is the national and most widely speaking language of Bangladesh. The national religion and also the religion of majority people in Bangladesh is Islam.

India

India, the second most populous country of the world, is located in South Asia. It is bordered by China, Nepal, Bhutan, Burma and Bangladesh. It is the home land of four religions; Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism. The India is divided into 7 union territories and 28 states. The national language of India is Hindi, while people also like to speak English in many areas. The religion of majority people is Hinduism, but Islam is the second largest religion in India with world’s largest minority.

Pakistan

Pakistan is also a South Asian country and shares borders with India, China, Afghanistan and Iran. It came into being on 14th August, 1947. The national language of Pakistan is Urdu, while the languages of all five provinces of Pakistan are different. The official religion and also the religion of majority people in Pakistan is Islam.

Bangladesh vs India vs Pakistan

Being the South Asian and the neighbor countries, there are lots of similarities in the culture of Bangladesh India and Pakistan. However, still these three countries differ from each other with respect to area, religion, language, financial condition and eating habits of people. All three countries are developing countries, but rapidly growing economies as well. Moreover, there is a permanent conflict between India and Pakistan in the form of Kashmir dispute.

What is the Difference between Denmark, Norway and Sweden https://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/world/what-is-the-difference-between-denmark-norway-and-sweden.html Sun, 14 Apr 2013 01:44:32 +0000 http://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/?p=1688 We often hear the name Scandinavian countries, but most of the people really don’t understand this commonly using term. In fact, the term Scandinavia describes the typical cultural region of Northern Europe. The most prominent countries of Scandinavia region are Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The Scandinavian languages are Danish, Norwegian and Swedish. Despite lots of similarities, there are many differences as well between these Scandinavian countries. Here is the difference between Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Denmark

Denmark is a Scandinavian sovereign state and located Northern European region. It is bordered with Norway, Sweden and Germany. The national language of Denmark is Danish. Denmark is the land of islands with 443 named islands and mainly consists of Jutland peninsula. Denmark faces larger variations in daylight with just 5-6 hours day light to 16-17 hours daylights during winter and summer seasons. The majority of people belong to Christian religion and followers of “Church of Denmark”.

Norway

Norway is located in Scandinavian Peninsula and second least populated European country. Norway is bordered with Sweden, Finland and Russia. Being located at very high altitude, the daylight variations in Norway are very much not only with respect to seasons but with different areas of country. It is famous for export of Stockfish to all parts of globe since 1000 years. The largest religion in Norway is Christianity with followers of “Church of Norway” and Islam is the second largest religion in this country. Norwegian is the official language of Norway which consists of Bokmål and Nynorsk.

Sweden

Sweden is also a Scandinavian country and located in Northern Europe. It is bordered with Norway, Finland and Denmark. Despite largest country in European Union, it is less populated country. Sweden has moderate climate with large variations in daylight. It is one of the most developed countries all over the world and famous for many remarkable inventions. The official language of Sweden is Swedish. Christianity is the major religion of Sweden with followers of “Church of Sweden”.

Denmark vs Norway vs Sweden

No doubt, all three countries Denmark, Norway and Sweden are the neighbor countries and share the Scandinavian culture like language which is almost similar in these three countries with just difference in name of language according to name of country. However, only Norway and Sweden the Scandinavian peninsula in contrast to Denmark that largely covers Jutland Peninsula. Similarly, there are lots of similarities in religion, climatic condition and cultural habits of residents of these three countries.

What is the Difference between Flagella, Stereocilia, Microvilli and Cilia https://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/science/what-is-the-difference-between-flagella-stereocilia-microvilli-and-cilia.html Fri, 12 Apr 2013 01:41:52 +0000 http://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/?p=1686 Every living being in the universe consists of cells, which is the basic element of life and executes all the functions of body parts. In fact, each cell consists of different parts and the function of each part is different. The performance of cells also depends upon the parts of cells which decide the individual functions of cells. Similarly, the numbers of cells present in each living being are different. Human body consists of thousands of cell, but there are also such living being which consists of just one cell. Flagella, Stereocilia, Microvilli and Cilia are the terms which are related to cell. Let’s clear the difference between these terms.

Flagella

Flagella or Flagellum (Singular) are organelle of cells. These are thread-like structures which are present on the living cell surface. These are long whip-like tail structures which are present on both Eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. The count of flagella is not more than 10 in any type of cell and mostly only one or two flagella are present in the cells.

Stereocilia

Stereocilia are also organelle of cells, but typically of hair cells. This mechano-sensing organelle gives clear response to change in fluid pressure or fluid motion. Despite having 5mm, stereocilia are characterized by lack of motility. Being having mechano-sensing function, these are present in the inner ear, epididymis and ductus deferens.

Microvilli

The protrusions of cellular membrane in eukaryotic cells are called Microvilli. The role of Microvilli is to facilitate cellular adhesion, secretion, absorption and mechanco-transduction. These are non-motile organelle and present in the sensory organs like nose, mouth and ears.

Cilia

Cilia or Cilium (Singular) are the part of eukaryotic or animal cells which looks like fine hair like projections. Cilia could be motile or non-motile. Both mobile and immobile Cilia act as sensory organisms. Motile cilia play a role of sweeping dirt and mucus out of lungs and present along the trachea lining. On the other hand, non-motile cilia play a role of olfactory sensors and present in the nose of eyes.

Flagella vs Stereocilia vs Microvilli vs Cilia

No doubt, all Flagella, Stereocilia, Microvilli and Cilia are the organelle or parts of eukaryotic cells, but they are different from each other in terms of structure and function. Only stereocilia are similar to microvilli for many similarities in characteristics. However, their length and bundle arrangement differentiate them from mircovilli. Similarly, unlike cilia, stereocilia and microvilli are immobile. Moreover, both Flagella and cilia present in the Eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells unlike stereocilia and microvilli which are only the part of eukaryotic cells.

What is the Difference between Neutral, Earthing, Grounding and Bonding https://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/science/what-is-the-difference-between-neutral-earthing-grounding-and-bonding.html Wed, 10 Apr 2013 01:40:40 +0000 http://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/?p=1684 Neutral, Earthing, Grounding and Bonding are some commonly using terms to describe an electric circuit system of either residential or commercial building. In the first look, it seems no difference between Neutral, Earthing, Grounding and Bonding, as people use them alternatively to describe the same type of wire. However, in technical meanings, there is some difference between Neutral, Earthing, Grounding and Bonding. To understand this minor difference in real sense, you can take a look on the following lines which describe the real difference between them.

Nuetral

The neutral conductor is that, which is connected to ground and having current in just normal operation. If we talk about single phase circuit, then it consists of three wires and one must be neutral which carries equal current as other two wires. However, in two wire circuit, the wire which is connected to ground instead of supply is called neutral.

Earthing

Earthing is done to reduce the chances of facing electric shock. In more elaborated form, this is the circuit in which the wire which does not carries current is connected to ground.

Grounding

Grounding is the alternative term of Neutral which simply means to connect live wire or the wire carrying current to the earth.

Bonding

Bonding is the technique of joining two wires or electric conductors together. The aim of bonding is to bring the two wires which are being joined at same electric potential. Being ay same potential, there are no chances of flowing current between bonded wires.

Neutral vs Earthing vs Grounding vs Bonding

Neutral or grounding are the two terms in electricity which are used in similar meanings. Here the meaning of grounding or neutral is providing low impedance path to the ground and ultimately saving the electric equipments and human beings to receive bad electric shocks. On the other hand, grounding is connecting live part to earth instead of Earthing which means connecting dead part to earth. However, this is no apparent difference and creates no difference between them. The people of US, use the term Grounding while the UK people use the term Earthing. However, the major difference is that the purpose of Grounding is to maintain voltage level in a circuit instead of Earthing which aims to protect the circuit element. Bonding is entirely different term which does not aim to protect the equipment or human being. It is just to join two electric conductors together to ensure equal potential in both of them.

What is the Difference between Dragonflies Bees Skippers Butterflies and Moths https://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/animal/what-is-the-difference-between-dragonflies-bees-skippers-butterflies-and-moths.html Wed, 20 Mar 2013 05:49:23 +0000 http://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/?p=1681 Our nature is very colorful thanks to lots of beautiful and multicolored birds, insects and animals. Butterflies always remain a source of attraction not only for the children, but for the elders. The reason is nothing, but a variety of colors embedded in every individual butterflies. Nothing is different in case of many other insects like dragonflies, bees, skippers and moths. No doubt, people remain inspired by the beauty and colorful appearance of these insects, but most of them don’t know the difference between them. Scientists have unveiled various aspects about these tiny insects such as Dragonflies Bees Skippers Butterflies and Moths, which areas following.

Dragon Fly

Dry fly belongs to order and suborder Odonata and Epiprocta respectively. The body description of dragon fly is elongated body with two pairs of perpendicular transparent wings. The unique features of dragon fly are its multifaceted eyes and six legs.

Bees

Bees are undoubtedly, the top listed most beneficial insect for human being thanks to a source of honey production. Bees produce honey by sucking the nectar of flowers by using their tongue. Bees also have two pair of wings and segmented antennas. There are lots of species of bees which ranges from 2.1 to 33 mm in length.

Skipper

Skipper is a species of butterflies which is famous for its quick flying. There are further more than 3500 subspecies of skippers. These are characterized by large compound eyes than other butterflies. Moreover, they keep their well-rounded wings just upward and usually not found in red, yellow and blue colors of their wings.

Butterflies

In a broader sense, there are three types of butterflies which are called the original butterflies, the moth butterflies and the skipper butterflies. Overall all these types arte day-flying insects with four-stage life cycle that’s mean egg, larva, pupa and adult.

Moths

Moths look like butterflies but they have feathery or comb-like antennas. Moreover, moths have a unique body part frenulum which is not found in butterflies. Usually, moths have not as colorful range in their wings as butterflies and just characterized by brown, black, white and grey colors. Similarly, the body of moths is hairy unlike slender and smooth bodies of butterflies.

Dragonflies vs Bees vs Skippers vs Butterflies vs Moths

Despite having six legs, dragon flies cannot walk unlike bees. Unlike butterflies, moths and bees, the wings of dragon flies are transparent. Moreover, dragon flies can eat many other under discussion insects such as bees, butterflies, and moths. The major difference between skippers and other butterflies is that, skippers have hooked shaped antenna at the front instead of club-type antennas of other butterflies. Well, both butterflies and moth are very close relatives but they belong to different suborders which are Rhopalocera and Heterocera. Moreover, the eyes of moths and butterflies are superposition and apposition respectively.

What is the Difference between Electric Water Heater and Gas Water Heater https://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/technology/what-is-the-difference-between-electric-water-heater-and-gas-water-heater.html Sat, 09 Mar 2013 16:59:06 +0000 http://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/?p=1678 A heater is a widely using household accessory which is used for room heating, bathing and cooking purposes in almost all parts of the globe. No doubt, there is an extensive use of heater in cold regions or countries, but this common household accessory is also used in warm areas in the winter season. According to principal of heating water, there are two types of water heater which are Electric Water Heater and Gas Water Heater. Some people like to use electric water heater, but most of the people prefer to use a gas water heater in case of consistent and abundant availability of natural gas. There are some reasons which compel the people to choose any one of these water heaters and these reasons make the differences between these two types of heaters. Here is the description of the difference between Electric Water Heater and Gas Water Heater.

Electric Water Heater

As clear from its name, electric water heater perform their function of heating or boiling water for various domestic and industrial purposes by means of electric supply. Such heaters are costly to use, less efficient and dangerous in case of rusted or bare metal surface of heaters.

Gas Water Heater

In the Gas water heater, natural gas is burned to ignite the burner and ultimately boiling the water. This is a cheaper choice for boiling water and ultimately acquire the desired results like room heating, cooking and bathing. People always prefer to use gas water heater due to the safety point of view and low initial as well as working cost.

Electric Water Heater vs Gas Water Heater

Electric water heaters is considered a costly choice due to high rates of electricity as compared to gas rates. Moreover, with respect to efficiency both Electric Water Heater and Gas Water Heater are also different from each other. Again, gas water heaters are more efficient than electric water heaters and gas water heaters boil the water in less time as compared to electric water heaters. The major difference between both types of heaters is their cost of use. As gas is a cheaper source as compared to electricity, so gas water heaters are the preferred choice of people. However, the use of electric water heaters is also very much in many countries due to non-availability of natural  gas. Another difference between Electric Water Heater and Gas Water Heater is their  safety. In case of touching the bare metal surface of gas heaters, only burning sensation could occur, but in case of electric heaters, a severe electric shock could be faced.

What is the Difference between Deodorant and Antiperspirant https://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/general-knowledge/what-is-the-difference-between-deodorant-and-antiperspirant.html Thu, 07 Mar 2013 16:34:50 +0000 http://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/?p=1676 Nobody likes this thing that people could smell the odor of their body. To remove the odor of body, people use different types of fragrances in the form of Deodorant and Antiperspirant. Some people like Deodorant, while some prefer to use Antiperspirant to remove body odor. Well, most of the people like any of these body fragrances due to their respective smell and don’t know the exact difference between them. Even people don’t know the health effect of Deodorant and Antiperspirant and also in what manner these products works exactly. It is necessary to clear the concept about way of working and health effects of Deodorant and Antiperspirant to make your choice better according to your need. Here is the difference between Deodorant and Antiperspirant.

Deodorants

The key role of deodorant is liberating perspiration by killing odor-causing bacteria with the help of antiseptic agents. The odor-causing bacteria cause breakdown of sweat which pass through the pores. The antiseptic agents which are the necessary ingredient of deodorant play a role of removing the body odor in actual.

Antiperspirants

Antiperspirants remove the body odor by blocking the body pores which release the perspiration. The aim of blocking the body pores is blocking sweat from reaching the skin. Antiperspirant do this action with the help of chemical compounds particularly aluminum, which is the necessary constituent of most of antiperspirants.

Deodorant vs Antiperspirant

Obviously, the major difference between deodorant and antiperspirant is their way of action in which they remove the unwanted smell of our body. Deodorants do this act with the help of antiseptic agents which kill the bacteria that break-down the sweat and allow them to reach up to the skin of the body and ultimately produce unwanted odor. On the other hand, antiperspirants do the same task of removing the odor of the body by blocking the pores, so that sweat could not reach up to the skin of the body and ultimately there is no sweat and no odor. However, when we compare the impact of deodorant and antiperspirants upon health, we realize that both are not good for health. The antiseptic agents of deodorants penetrate into the body, which is not a healthy sign. However, antiperspirants block the body pores with the help of aluminum which is more dangerous. Most of the breast-cancer cases are coming in front of us due to excessive use of deodorant and antiperspirant. Well, the cases of breast-cancer and skin infection by the use of antiperspirants are more as compared to deodorants.

What is the Difference between User, Customer, Client and Consumer https://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/language/what-is-the-difference-between-user-customer-client-and-consumer.html Tue, 05 Mar 2013 18:18:56 +0000 http://www.whatisdifferencebetween.com/?p=1673 Languages have a strange characteristic which is the collection of many such words that can be used interchangeably. Grammatically, it is not necessary that the collection of words having a similar meaning should be synonyms of each other. However, people do not care about these typical grammar rules while using these words in their daily life. User, Customer, Client and Consumer are the example of such words which people often use in similar meanings. They don’t care that either these words could be used in replacement of each other or not. The reason is obvious, the meanings of these words are very close to each other. However, if you want to clear your concept about accurate meanings of these words and their proper use in the sentences, it is necessary to read the difference between these words which is as follows.

User

A user is the person who uses any product or service either its own or borrowed from any person. It is not necessary for a user to use only that thing, which he or she buys. There could be anything related to any person which could be under the use of a user.

Customer

A customer is necessarily that person who aims to buy the product or service of any company. Again, it is not necessary for a person to buy the product or service to be called as a customer.

Client

A client is also a person who contacts with the manufacturer or service provider to buy some product or use some service. A person is said to a client only under the condition when he / she purchases some item or pay some amount against using the service of any company.

Consumer

A consumer is typically categorized a person who purchases and then uses a product or service. This is the term which has similar meanings with “user” and can be used as an alternate of this word.

User vs Customer vs Client vs Consumer

The word “User” and “Consumer” are most likely the same words which could be used interchangeably. In other words, you can say that consuming or using the services or product of any company is the same things, but in case of consumer it is considered top buy the product at first then use it in contrast to user which is a general term. On the other hand, both “Client” and “Customer” are the persons who aims to buy anything but in case of client it becomes necessary to buy this first. This condition is not necessary in case of customer.
