What is the Difference between Wholemeal, Wheat, Brown and White Bread

There are different types of food products that we use in our daily life. They all have their own taste and ingredients and also have affect on health. Some have long period of freshness. They all are different from each other with respect to manufacturing. Let’s have a look on the difference between them.

Whole Meal

Whole meal is also known as whole grain. They are cereal grains. They include cereal germs, endosperm and bran. The whole meal products are generally made by grinding the whole grains which is used to make whole grain flour.

Wheat

It is the most common food for humans. Wheat is a cereal grain from the Levant region. It is cultivated in all over the world. It is a big source of the vegetable protein in human body.

Brown Bread

It is a special type of bread. It is made from significant amount of whole grain flour or wheat. Sometimes dark ingredients are used to make brown bread. These ingredients are coffee or molasses.

White Bread

It is another category of bread, we use in our daily life. It is made from wheat flour. With the help of milling process, the bran and germs are removed from it. Milling process gives a long period to white bread.

The difference between whole meal and wheat is that, whole meal or whole grains are cereal grains, which contain cereal germs, endosperm and bran in it. While wheat is a common human food, which contain cereal grain from the Levant region. The difference between white bread and brown bread is that, brown bread is made from whole grain flour or wheat including some dark ingredients like coffee and molasses. While white bread is made from flour after milling process in which germs and bran are removed. It has a long life then brown bread.
