What is the Difference between Feature Phone, Smartphone and Iphone
Cell phones have become a necessary part of our life. With the passage of time, use of cell phones is increasing. As well concern with cell phone technology, it is getting advance day by day. Now we can access all the applications on our cell phone which were only accessible on PC in the past. Many multimedia applications like camera, music players, internet connectivity and much more are easily installed in cell phones due to advancement in technology. Now look at the difference between different cellular technologies like Feature Phone, Smart Phone and Iphone.
Feature Phone
It is a term used for old cell phone technology. A feature phone is a low-end device containing a limited space for installation of multimedia applications. The operating system of feature phone is old, It use java, ME or BREW to install the applications.
Smart Phone
It is the latest cell phone technology. It is a high-end technology. There is no limitation of application installation in smart phone due to its new operating system. All the multimedia applications can be installed in a smart phone. It is advanced computing cellular technology.
Iphone
Iphone is not a technology as feature phone or smart phone. It is brand name of cell phone launched by a company apple. It is a multimedia phone with many latest applications like camera, GPS, local Wi-Fi connectivity, touch screen etc.
Feature Phone vs Smart Phone vs Iphone
Above mentioned different cell phone technologies have not very much difference between them. Earlier feature phones were introduced. The main difference between feature phone and smart phone technology is the operating system installed in them. A feature phone containing an operating system which does not allow to install latest applications. As well a smart phone has a latest operating system which permits the installation of all latest multimedia applications like camera, GPS navigation, internet access, Wi-Fi connectivity, and latest audio players like Ipod. Another difference of smart phone is symbion and android technology which was not in feature phones. As we concern with Iphone, it is a brand name of a cell phone. It is also a smart phone and has lots of latest applications like touch screen, 3G, portable media player or Ipod etc. it is internet enabled phone and the latest form of smart phone technology.
