What is the Difference between Nexus, Galaxy, Droid, Evo and Epic

Today, smart phones have replaced all heavyweight and fat mobiles thanks to their slim structure and versatile features. However, different manufacturers try to introduce their smart phones with some weird and unique features, so that people could compare and prefer their products on behalf of these exclusive features. Similarly, android based smart phones have gained so much popularity just because of their intelligent software and cool operations. Nexus, Galaxy, Droid, Evo and Epic are the names of such smart phones that are based on android operating system, but have some differences both in terms of manufacturers as well as exclusive features. Let’s take a look on these differences.

Nexus

Nexus smart phones are based on Google’s android operating system. Nexus One is manufactured by HTC Corporation and based on android 2.1. Nexus S is manufactured by Samsung and based on android 2.3.

Galaxy

Samsung is introducing its Galaxy series smart phones that are based on android operating system. The latest Galaxy S II is the continuation of Galaxy S and is truly claiming as world’s thinnest smart phone up till now.

Droid

Manufactured by Motorola, The Droid is an android based multi-media enabled smart phone. Originally, it has 2.1 android OS, but can be updated for android 2.2 OS.

Evo

World’ first 4G smart phone “Evo”, developed by Taiwan’s HTC Corporation is based on android 2.1 operating system, but can up dated for 2.2 operating system.

Epic

The second 4G smart phone “Epic”, developed by Samsung is based on Goggle’s android operating system version 2.1.

No doubt, all these smart phones are based on Google’s android operating system. However, every smart phone has minimum one or two exclusive features that are the sole specialty of that version. Moreover, being manufactured by different manufacturers, all these smart phones have different version of android OS and dimensions as well.
