Many terms are used in computer such as .com, .co, .org etc. these all are domain names. Domain name is a label of identification which tends to explain control over internet or authority. .co is a domain which is used for a global, recognizable and credible web address.
.Org
It is a domain designator used at the end of web address for a non profitable organization
.biz
It is a high level internet domain used by business organization instead of .com. this was introduced in late 2000.
.info
It is an internet domain which is used by individuals and organizations for general information. It was also introduced in late 2000.
.local
It is a type of domain which is used for multi cast domain name service of discovery protocols. It is also used in name resolution in local area network
.net
It is an internet domain used by carriers, ISPs. It is also used as platform for building Microsoft applications

It is an internet domain used at the end of web address by commercial enterprises. It is one of the most common domain names.
.us
.us is the internet domain, used for the United States. This was established in mid 80s. Citizens and residents of US can use this domain name.
.co vs .org vs. .biz vs .info vs .local vs .net vs .con vs .us
Although, all of the above stated terms are domain names, but they are used in different situations. For instance, .co is the universal kind of domain, which is used for credible web address almost all over the world. On the other hand, .us is only for the residents of United States. Similarly, .org is used by NGOs and .biz is used by business organizations. .net is slightly different than the others, as it is used for building Microsoft applications.
