Actually people who get confuse because they forget a very basic rule of English grammar. Since English grammar is a key to learn the better English so here we will differentiate between advice and advise.

Advice

Advice means to give someone some useful suggestion, a piece of advice. It is noun i.e. it is used in the sentence as a noun. Now how can it be a noun? This is the common question students ask. This noun is not like human’s beings or any living or non- living thing’s name, but it is simply a word that cannot be changed into past or present tenses.

Advise

Advise also means to give suggestion, but here it is verb. Verb can be changed into grammatical forms of past, present and future. In any sentence it can be adjusted with respect to the time i.e. it can be made past and present or future. So to understand advise is rather easy.

Advice vs Advise

Both these words point towards same action but one is individual while the other is connection. Advice is noun, so it is individual, it cannot be made plural by adding s ores in the end, it cannot be changed with time it is used as a noun is used. Advise is a verb. It also cannot be made plural or singular but it can be changed when we talk about past present or future. The main difference is the spellings of both. The noun has “c” and the verb has “s” in it.
