What is the Difference between PARA and POR

Like English every other language has its grammar rules that make the language easy to understand and set proper rules. There are some defined rules in English grammar that complete the language and make the language look meaningful, Spanish also has its proper set of grammar which makes it look proper and understandable. In English we use preposition, in Spanish we use para and por to join words and make the sentences meaningful.

PARA

Para is like preposition in Spanish with is used to give different sentences different meanings. It is a word that comes before an infinitive to explain the purpose of the verb. Similarly para is used to make the verb look the action it was intended for. Another use of para is used t specify destination, or length of time or in-time phrases to specify a future moment in-time or comparison, or to say “about to” in any sentence will mean para.

POR

Por is the word or set of words that are used to explain the reason or cause of the verb in the sentence. It is also used for movement through space, exchange or in place of, prepositions after verbs of movements, with the passive or as expressions.

PARA vs POR

The first and the main difference is how they both deal the verb. Para explains the purpose of the verb or set of action taken at anytime while por explains the reason or cause of the verb or action taken anytime. Para defines comparison while por cannot do so. Por is use as exchanged on in place of while para is not used in that way. Por is used as passive in a sentence while para is always active. Both are prepositions but their use makes them way too different.
