What is the Difference between Summer, Winter, Autumn and Spring Seasons

Technically speaking; season is the division of years in different parts. It usually marks changes in weather conditions and daylight hours. In different seasons intensity of sun rays reached to the surface of earth, changes. Generally, there are four seasons, summer, winter, autumn and spring. Here we are discussing difference between them.

Summer

Summer is the warmest season of the year. In this season days are long and nights are short. In different parts of world length of the season varies. People consume water and other liquids more and like to stay in the shade. Countries near the equator have longer and severe summer season.

Winter

Winter season consist of the coldest months of the year. It usually lies between autumn and spring. In this season days are short and nights are long. People wear warm cloths and use of hot drinks like tea and coffee increase. Dry fruits are considered as a gift of this season.

Autumn

Autumn season is a transition phase between summer and winter. Days start to become shorter. The weather is neither too cold nor too hot. During this season trees shed their leaves. In northern hemisphere it comes in September and in southern hemisphere it comes in March.

Spring

Spring is a transitory season between winter and summer. The length of days and nights is almost equal in this season. Spring has very short duration, usually three to four weeks. Spring season is marked with the flower blooms and appearance of new leaves on the trees.

Summer vs winter vs autumn vs Spring Seasons

The difference between Summer, Winter, Autumn and Spring Seasons is that; Summer is the hottest season of the year, while winter is coldest. Autumn and spring are not severe seasons. During summer use of water and juices increase, while in winter use of hot drinks increase. In summers people love to wear light clothes while in winter use of woolen clothes increase. Summer and winter are longer seasons, while autumn and spring are shorter ones.
