What is the Difference between Fascism Autocracy Monarchy Dictatorship and Totalitarian
We can find different political systems in different parts of the world. Every country has a different political ideology, which is reflected in the constitution of that country. Although, constitution of every country is different but few political ideologies are common all over the world. Fascism, Autocracy, Monarchy, dictatorship and Totalitarian are commonly heard terms, but a common person cannot differentiate between them. Here, we describe some key differences between them.
Fascism
This political ideology is considered as a radio authoritarian nationalist ideology. According to this ideology, national identity unites people. This approach believes in one leader system, only one political party will have a hold on all citizens. Fascism do not support class distinctions. The state will control all the income and everyone will have equal share of the benefits. Private property and religion has no place in this ideology.
Autocracy
A political system in which one person has all the political powers is called as an autocracy. The decision of that powerful person cannot be challenged. Every person in the country has to obey his orders.
Monarchy
Monarch or a single individual has all the power in this political system. There are different forms of monarchy based on the method of selection of monarch, legal authorities of monarch and the length of his tenure. Monarchy can be hereditary and elected as well. King, queen and other similar titles are examples of monarchy.
Dictatorship
When government is ruled by a dictator, it is called dictatorship. It is similar to monarchy. A dictator is really powerful and stays in power by force. Usually, head of armed forces declares himself as a head of state. Dictatorship is considered as opposite to democracy.
Totalitarian
In this political system, state has complete authority on all aspects of society. This is an Italian concept of government. Nazi Germany and people’s republic of China under Mao are the examples of totalitarian. Ideological goals of every totalitarian state are different.
Fascism vs Autocracy vs Monarchy vs Dictatorship and Totalitarian
Fascism is a nationalist ideology, where the state controls everything, while in case of Autocarcy a person holds all political powers. Monarchy and autocracy are similar but in Monarchy political power pass through generations like kings and queens. In case of dictatorship a single person holds all powers through force. Totalitarian is similar to fascism when the state controls the public and private lives of people. We can find the examples of all these political systems in the world. Totalitarian system is considered as the most advanced form of political system.
