What is the Difference between Microsoft Office 2003, 2007 and 2010

Every computer user is aware with the Microsoft office. It is the set of applications, which was released by the Microsoft Corporation, for the first time in 1989. Later it various versions were introduced, which were similar in their basic functions but yet they were different. Here we are describing few basic differences between three versions of Microsoft office.

Microsoft office 2003

This version of Microsoft office was released in 2003, and was having the new logo of Microsoft. Two new applications were added in this version, namely Microsoft InfoPath and OneNote. In this version XP style icons were used. Moreover, outlook 2003 was also having some enhanced features. More importantly, it was the last version, which supported Windows 2000.

Microsoft office 2007

This version of Microsoft office was having the graphical user interface, which was released in year 2007. This interface replaced the traditional menus and tool bars with a tabbed tool bar which is called Ribbon. File formats were also switched to XML.

Microsoft office 2010

This version was released for the users on 15th June 2010. The main features included in this version were collaborative tools, customization ribbon, backstage file menu and a navigation pane. A new logo was also released with this version, which was similar to the 2003 logo.

Microsoft Office 2003 vs 2007 vs 2010

All these versions have similar functions but they have different features. 2003 and 2010 versions were having new logos, with little differences. 2003 was the last office to support windows 2000. 2007 version was released with new user interface and traditional menus were replaced with Ribbon. In 2010 this ribbon was shifted to customized ribbon. All these versions are popular but Microsoft office 2007 is the most successful version of this series.
