What is the Difference between European Aussie American and Canadian Football

No doubt, football is one of only a few games that are widely playing all over the world. However, in different countries, at national level the rules of football vary a little bit at national level.  Here, are the key differences between four major football federations including European, Aussie, American and Canadian.

European Football
The term European football is used for any international football club competition, which is organized by the governing body of football, UEFA. It is necessary for a club to qualify through domestic competitions.

Aussie Football
Aussie football is the term, which is used for Australian football. The game is played between the two teams, with total 22 players. 18 of them play in the ground, while others are reserved. Unlike international football rules, in Aussie football teams try to score points and team with more points wins the match.

American Football
American football is played between two teams of 11 players. This sport is also called as gridiron, in United States. Both teams try to score maximum points by advancing the ball into the end zone of opposite team.

Canadian football
In Canadian football, both teams have 12 players. The football field is 110 yard long and 65 yards wide. Players attempt to advance the ball in the end zone of opposing team, and as a result they get points.

European vs Aussie vs American vs Canadian Football

Football is an international game, but different countries have different rules for the same game. In Aussie Football team the number of players is 9, while in American team there are 11 players, and in Canadian team the number of players is 12. Similarly, the length and width of the football ground also varies. American ground is 110 yard long, while Canadian ground is 130 yards long. Width of American ground is 53 yards, and Canadian ground is 65 yards wide.
