What is the Difference between Honeycomb, Froyo and Gingerbread

A latest mobile operating system that is developed by Google is called Android. Now, it is widely using in cellular phones and tablet computers. Linux Kernel is the basis of android operating system. Honeycomb

Honeycomb is a code of android operating system with a chain of versions like 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2. This android platform is launched for large screen devices, usually tablets. Honeycomb versions of Android operating system have features like chic notifications, multi-tasking etc. Moreover, Honeycomb offers more than 100,000 applications and home-based customization. Froyo

Android 2.2 or Froyo is a minor platform release including user features, developer features, API changes, and bug fixes. Froyo introduces speed improvements with JIT optimization and added Wi-Fi hotspot tethering and Adobe Flash support. For developers, the Android 2.2 platform is available as a downloadable component for the Android SDK. The downloadable platform includes a fully compliant Android library and system image, as well as a set of emulator skins, sample applications, and more.

Gingerbread

Honeycomb vs Froyo vs Gingerbread

The main difference between Honeycomb and Froyo is that Froyo supports both tablets and phones, but Honeycomb is entirely for large screens such as tablets. Froyo is not optimized for large screen. On the other hand, Gingerbread includes new UI themes, better application, new download manager and NFC that are not a part of previous versions.
