Any object that blocks the sunlight and protects from the rays of the sun to reach us directly is called a shade. Shades can be colorful and can be anything that prevents the sunlight to reach us directly.

Shutter
It is an object which allows only specific amount of light to pass through it and is often moveable. They are inserted at the points where we have to control amount of light.

Curtains are artificial way to block light while shutters are used to control amount of light passing through it.
